I’m Laura, founder of The Ops House - a business born from twenty years of watching what makes people and companies work (and what doesn't ).
I've spent 20 years in Senior Leadership roles across Events, Internal Comms and People Operations at companies like Booking.com, BBC Worldwide, Sony Pictures, Tumelo & Secfix.
I've led a £1m budget, delivered over 400 global events, I've helped startups scale through crazy investment and growth, building the systems and structure that kept teams engaged and steady while everything around them moved at lightning speed.
After years inside startup chaos, I launched my own leadership business, Lead.ink. It was great. It worked, clients loved it, but something didn’t feel right.
Behind the scenes, what I actually loved wasn’t the teaching, it was the doing. The 'admin' stuff, mapping client journeys, sorting out processes, building the courses vs delivering the courses, creating order out of chaos. I’d meet incredible entrepreneurs and all I wanted to do was get my hands on their back end (business-wise, obviously!) and fix the things that were slowing them down.
So I went with my gut, shut Lead.ink down and launched The Ops House instead, and oh boy has it taken off!
This business is my passion. It’s where everything I’ve learned, from corporate structure to startup scrappiness, comes together to help founders and small business owners breathe again.
Because I’ve seen the toll that running a business takes when everything depends on your own energy. And I know what it feels like to reach that point where you can do it all, but just don’t want to anymore because you know what the cost will be. That’s where The Ops House comes in, sorting the back end of your business so you can get back to focusing on the front.
